Without leaps of imagination or dreaming we lose the excitement of possibilities.

For the last 24 years I have worked with Adults, Adolescents and Families in both counselling and Psychotherapy. I now specialize with Adolescents and Young Adults.

My training has been in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy with the Tivoli Institute. Development of my interest in working with adolescents and families led to a further master’s training In Gestalt Adolescent Psychotherapy. From here I discovered my desire was to be able to support adolescents and adults to figure out life more easily and deal with the often-difficult developmental stage that is the movement from childhood to young adult.

None of this work would be possible without supporting parents and caregivers to understand their own role as parents and adults as they try and support and influence this important life stage. Training as a clinical supervisor, has also formed an integral part of my ongoing learning as I guide other professionals in this area.

My approach in psychotherapy is to look at how we make choices and what we bring to the world in terms of both our challenges and talents. For some people they are challenged on many different levels in their life. We often reach a time when we need to step back observe and proceed with support. It is not always easy to ask for help especially as a young person who is trying to figure so much out.

My approach when working with you is practical yet deeply embedded in knowledge and learning. With me you are here to learn about the very valuable you, to consider how to choose your actions wisely and to always aim for understanding. I am an accredited psychotherapist and supervisor with IACP.
